Best Coffee in Vancouver

Visiting new coffee shops is my weekend joy! Even though I usually get the same order – a flat white – there’s something about the smell and beautiful aesthetics that gives me a feel good moment. A lot of Vancouver’s coffee shops are actually in neighbourhoods but won’t be very convenient for tourists. So I tried to provide my recommendations of the Best Coffee in Vancouver based on area, so you can easily search for one close to you.

Downtown Vancouver

49th Parallel Coffee

One of the first “boutique” coffee shops in Vancouver! They still have such delicious drip coffees and a very nice tea selection too. Also, they are connected to “Lucky Donuts” so you can’t miss one of the fun flavor donuts. If you’re feeling extra hungry, they also have breakfast sandwiches. There are a few locations in Vancouver but the downtown location is most convenient for tourists and you don’t want to miss this one!

Thierry

Thierry is one of the most popular coffee shops in Vancouver and is my favorite spot for macarons! Their spanish latte is also delicious and a sweeter take on a normal latte. I find people come here dressed up so it’s great for people watching and it’s on the stylish Alberni street.

Revolver

Revolver would be my pick if you like pourovers and specialty coffee. You can find a lot of unique beans here and the menu would satisfy any coffee snob.

Kitsilano

Cowdog

Newly Instagram famous, cowdog just opened in 2025 and has a strong following! There is no tipping here although the drinks are closer to $9 so it is a splurge. The interior is absolutely gorgeous though so come here for a trendy coffee shop in Kitsilano! They are famous for their strawberry matcha and seasonal drinks!

Provisions Kitsilano

Provisions is actually more of a cafe as they offer breakfast and lunch options. They are a pretty new establishment and the original location is actually in Whistler (here’s a weekend guide to Whistler!). The coffee is quite good here and it’s very aesthetic inside to enjoy a slow morning or a break from shopping on West 4th.

Olympics Village/Mount Pleasant

Honolulu Coffee

I know you’re in Canada, but who can say no to a slice of Hawaii. Honolulu Coffee usually have unique seasonal drinks and their coffee is all made using beans from Kona. It’s located in a convnient

Purebread

While Purebread is not objectively a coffee spot, I had to include them on the list. This place has the BIGGEST selection of pastries and you’ll definitely feel that your eyes is bigger than your stomach. All of their baked goods are so delicious and decadent!

Neighbourhood Coffee Shops

Here are a few other of my favorite coffee shops in Vancouver (but further in the neighbourhoods)

Drop me a comment if you have any questions and can’t wait to share more Vancouver guides with you!
